UBTECH and Hitachi announced validation of Walker S2 in elevator-manufacturing scenarios. The work combines line logistics, handling and inspection in an environment with varied components and stations designed for human operators.

Why this scenario matters

Elevator manufacturing involves frequent supply tasks, differently shaped parts and transitions between stations. A humanoid can use existing aisles, benches and tools when the task is technically bounded and safely engineered.
