Walker S2 in wind manufacturing: precise sorting in a 5G smart factory

UBTECH has shown Walker S2 autonomously sorting parts inside a 5G smart factory for the wind-energy sector. The scenario illustrates how humanoid mobility can connect workstations, containers and equipment already designed for people.

From demonstration to industrial use case

Sorting, picking and delivering components appears simple, but it requires reliable identification, destination checks and a response to changing flows. 5G connectivity can support supervision and data exchange; safety still depends on the real process and environment.

How HUMATRIX is developing this use case

HUMATRIX is structuring Iberian pilots around route mapping, part-family selection, exception rules and measurable cycle, error and availability indicators. The aim is to start with one controlled cell and expand only after evidence is obtained.

Validation criteria

Sorting accuracy, code reading, grasp stability, coexistence with people and recovery from obstacles or network failure must be tested. Every movement needs traceability and a safe stopping mode.
