Humanoid robots in intralogistics: Walker S2 and 24/7 operation

Factories and logistics centres need to reduce waiting time in line feeding, component transport and tray movement. Walker S2, manufactured by UBTECH Robotics, is designed for repetitive industrial tasks in environments originally built for people.

Technology and context

Walker S2 combines stereo vision, bimanual manipulation and a stated payload of up to 15 kg. Its dual-battery system allows the robot to perform an autonomous swap in about three minutes, supporting continuous operation when the surrounding process is properly engineered.

How Humatrix is developing this use case

Humatrix is developing a Walker S2 integration approach for bin and tray handling, workstation replenishment, material transfer and dispatch support. We map loads, reaches, routes, cycle times and interfaces with warehouse systems, AMRs, AGVs and existing equipment.

Responsible deployment

A pilot starts in a controlled workstation with risk assessment, acceptance criteria and metrics for availability, ergonomics, quality and human intervention. Expansion only follows evidence of safe and repeatable performance.
